The Elite Home Health & Hospice and Valley Medical Center community outreach team has been given the honor of working in partnership with the Hospice Foundation of America (HFA) to host community screenings of PBS’s Frontline Special report, Being Mortal. If you aren’t already familiar with this, it is an hour long production featuring Dr. Atul Gawande as a follow-up to his bestselling book by the same name.  As a renowned surgeon and New Yorker writer, Dr. Gawande teams with Frontline to bring his personal journey-and the stories of his patients and families-to the fore and challenges us all to reexamine how we think about aging and mortality, and to encourage us to prepare for our future care needs now.

There will be refreshments served as well as the opportunity for participants to learn more about Advanced Care Planning through the Five Wishes campaign.
